Welcome and Navigation Instructions

Welcome to Lit103.3; fiction for the ears. My name is Alan Vogel, your host/reader. Each show is a podcast archive of an over the air radio broadcast on WXOJ FM 103.3, Northampton, MA. Broadcast every Tuesday at 1:00 PM, Lit103.3; fiction for the ears is a platform for short fiction, any genre or no genre at all, as well as creative non- fiction, and excerpts. I also play music which are really stories in song, as well as talk about writing, publishing, books and fiction in general.

TO LISTEN TO A SHOW, SIMPLY CLICK ON THE COLORED LINK IN THE RECENT Posts TO THE RIGHT OF THE PAGE. OR CLICK "LAUNCH PLAYER" ON THE MEDIA PLAYER, ALSO TO THE RIGHT, AND GO TO PLAYLIST. PRESS THE FORWARD OR BACKWARD BUTTON TO ACCESS ANY SHOW.

ALL OF THE WRITTEN VERSIONS OF THE STORIES, AS WELL AS THE PODCASTS, ARE ALSO LOCATED IN THE "MONTHLY ARCHIVE" SECTION TO THE RIGHT, JUST ABOVE "RECENT ENTRIES." TO VIEW THEM, SIMPLY CLICK ON THE WORDS, "FEBRUARY 2008."

For purposes of positioning, I've altered the dates that stories or podcasts were published on the website, so the listed dates are absolutely inaccurate and irrelevant for anything but  placement.

You can also use Quicksearch located on the top right, or simply scroll down to read or play entries.Click on any of the"recent entries", "archives," or on the blue highlighted title above the audio or written version of the story to isolate a particular story or podcast. In the case of a story it will appear in a format that allows for convenient printing.

Another method of access is by clicking on the underlined word "download" just under the arrow for the audio bar. Or you can listen by clicking on the arrow of the audio bar. The audio bar should move from left to right as you listen. If you see the bar at the far right and the audio won't play, either refresh your screen, or close your browser window, then reopen it, and perhaps again refresh your screen if you need to. I hope you suffer no inconvenience. Please contact me if you do.
